The Year 4 children had a lovely change to their first forest school session this week. A whole day in the forest! They were lucky enough to be able to have a visit from pupils from Slater School in Leicester. They got the chance to make lots of new friends by showing them their forest school skills. Many children were involved in making mulled apple juice over the fire, which was a real treat, along with having the chance to toast marshmallows. Other activities included pond dipping, nature bracelets, willow dream catchers, den building, hapa zome with the hammers along with many other activities. We also finished the sessions with a sing song, of course. A great day had by all thanks to the National Forest for helping us foster links with other schools!
