Forest School Week 1
The Reception children were very eager to begin their Forest School journey as they listened carefully to instructions and made their way across the field.
The fun began with a ladybird subitisng game as the children found groups with the same number.
They then went onto explore the forest school surroundings by engaging in a variety of minibeast themed activities including creating minibeasts out of natural materials. There was a lot of bug hunting going on too with worms proving to be the most popular bug of the day!
The children also began exploring knots and worked hard to tie 2 sticks together using a knot of their choice!
The children showed a great understanding of different rules and sat around the fire circle beautifully.
