Forest School – Week 2
Wow, the sun was shining for our second Forest School session! Year 6 sat quietly round the fire circle whilst they listened carefully to Mrs Alexander’s instructions for the session. They shared different facts about Ancient Greek sports and discovered that the Ancient Games began in 776 BC, held in honour of Zeus, the king of Gods. It was held every four years and whoever won was awarded with a wreath of leaves. Pupils had opportunities to make wreaths made from twigs and leaves. Year 6 also enjoyed using sheath knife to make Javelins like they used in the Ancient Games.
