We wrapped up warm today for a very chilly Forest School session!
A warm up game around the fire circle, got children listening to the names of some woodland animals, before practicing walking around the outside of the circle, one of our key safety rules at Forest School.
The children then listened to the story ‘Little Sunflower’ before setting off in groups to create their own sunflowers using found resources at Forest School. The children are definitely becoming sunflower experts as they were using some great vocabulary to describe the different parts of the sunflower as they searched for resources to create the seed head, petals, stem and leaves.
We loved our hot chocolate and biscuit again this week, it certainly helped to keep us warm and toasty!
