Reception – Week 4 Forest School
We were blessed with lovely sunny weather today! The children were reminded about being extra safe at forest school. They avoided the stingers and low branches and carried the big sticks carefully in pairs.
Today’s learning activity was building a home for mini beasts – a bug hotel! The children were very excited and demonstrated great curiosity and super observational skills while looking for bugs. It was amazing to see how confident the children were exploring the woods and picking up little bugs, twigs, grass, pinecones and twigs for their hotel. They worked well in their groups and chatted about their findings! We finished the day with a cup of hot chocolate while listening to our class story, ‘The Very Greedy Bee.’
