In Nursery adventure this morning, the children were all very excited, for their first visit to Forest School! So, after wrapping up warm and climbing into our waterproofs and wellies we set off.
The children listened really well to the Forest School safety rules and were soon applying them through their independent exploration, measuring sticks to see if they were shorter than their arm, so that they could be carried and working with a partner to carry the longer branches.
After carefully listening to the Forest School rules, we explored our new environment and worked together as a team to make our own campfires and how to collage our the initial letter of our name using blossom. We also learnt how to look carefully to walk over the muddy pathways and had lots of fun painting trees with our mud potions.
We ended the session, enjoying a glass of juice with a yummy biscuit which went down as a treat! What a great ‘muddy’ time we all had!
