Year 3 Forest School Week 2

What a fantastic second week we have had.  This week Mr Gordon has been teaching the children how to Square Lash

Only half of the class were there because some of the children were at a hockey tournament.

The children had to go to explore the woodland area in search of two trigs that were equal in length and width. See

The children watched carefully as Mr Gordon tied the two twigs together using the square lashing technique. The children did very well with this after several attempts. The children didn’t give up!

At the end of the session, the children used the knives to carve a piece of wood. They followed the rules very well and showed maturity whilst doing this
