We started our Forest School by working in pairs, pretending we were human cameras! One child was blindfolded and led to a place of interest by their partner. On removal of the blindfold we described what we saw.
We learnt a new skill of how to make a tension knot. We watched Mrs Farrington demonstrate how to complete the tension knot and listened to a story about Sammy the Snake to help us remember all of the twists and turns our rope had to go through! Lots of us used the tension knot to support a tarpaulin for den building.
Whilst some of us were den-building, some of us continued with the billhook work creating our tic-tac-toe board. There were other activities too, such as working out the age of some of the trees in the Forest School area. This was very interesting as some of the children had planted some of these trees a few years ago!
