As the temperatures continue to soar, most of the Reception children took to working under the shady trees and in the outdoor classroom for their activities this week. After finding the potato peelers tough going on the branches last week, the children practised their knife handling and whittling technique on carrots. This was much easier and rewarding.
Other children created sculptures using natural materials…
And others tried to find matching colours in nature to paint sample cards. We didn’t realise how many different shades of green and brown there are around us!
