Nursery Forest School Week 2

The Nursery children had another great time at Forest School this week with a focus on ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. They started off with a fun game in which they had to listen carefully for special words to follow certain actions, all whilst in the character of a wolf. The children showed their understanding of our fire circle as they listened carefully to the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

They then had to look high and low for the Big Bad Wolf and his friends who had decided to hide in our Forest School, luckily they were all found!

Some of the children recalled the journey to grandma’s house and gathered various materials to create a journey stick. They also created some beautiful flowers by using natural materials and were extremely creative when making mud cakes for Grandma with a variety of toppings including worms.

This week the children had pancakes for snack which they decided to share with the wolf as he didn’t seem too scary after all!
