Forest School – Reception 29 June 2017

Reception Forest School 29.6.17

Forest School had a very magical feel to it this week.  After playing a team game of ‘Dwarves, Elves and Wizards’, the children discovered clusters of fairy dust as they made their way to the outdoor classroom.

Explorer Ted was waiting for them with a letter from chief fairy ‘Willow’!

After reading that the fairies needed our help to move their belongings to our Forest School site, we had a discussion about what we would use if we were to move house.  It was decided that the fairies needed some vehicles; so we set to it and made some!  The children were brilliant at hammering the nails into the wood…

And here are the finished vehicles, which we hope will help the fairies with their big move!

We also decided to make the fairies some welcome decorations by creating some pictures using natural materials, as well as designing our own wooden plaque decorations.

We can’t wait for next week to see if the fairy village has arrived!
