Forest School Reception Week 5

The rain and mud didn’t stop the fun at Forest School this week as the Reception children continued their Fairy tale theme by making bridges to help the Gingerbread Man cross the lake. We had one very long bridge which the children all had fun balancing on to escape the fox! The children used their creative skills to make some wonderful Gingerbread characters using natural resources, they took their time to think carefully about the different features and discussed them with their friends. The children also used a peeler to carefully whittle a stick. There continues to be on going exploration as the children continued to find different things in the surrounding which they excitedly share! This week there was a huge wiggly worm looking for a home so some of the children made a small bug house. However, nobody wanted to pick the worm up to help him find it! To finish off our session the children had a tasty Gingerbread Man with their hot chocolate!
