Year 1 had a fantastic sun filled 2nd Forest School session this week. The children enjoyed taking cover under the shady trees and using their imagination to turn the simplest of things into something amazing – logs were turned into pizza bases, grass into stringy cheese and leaves into a variety of toppings! This week the children started learning some Forest School skills. A few children started to learn how to use secateurs safely to chop thin branches, whilst others learnt to tie a Timber Hitch Knot using the ‘Sammy Snake’ story to remember!
