Nursery Forest School Week 5
The wolf was up to his old tricks again this week at Forest School and this time the children were ready for him!
They worked hard as a team to make some fabulous houses using different materials found in the forest including stones, twigs and leaves. After all the hard work they tested their designs by re-telling the story and thankfully all 3 pigs were saved in the end with the wolf jumping into a nearby bush.
The children also made some super pig characters by painting stones and then adding features.
The children demonstrated perfectly how to transport large branches around and collected enough to create their own den. They showed fantastic problem solving skills when their initial ideas didn’t go to plan and found some great alternatives. I’m sure the wolf would have a hard job finding them in the final design.
To end the children enjoyed hot chocolate, sang songs and had lots to share about the exciting session with some wonderful ideas of how we could make the dens even better which included, adding a drive! Let’s hope the dens are still waiting for us next week.
