Friday 28th May 2021 – Nursery Forest School Session 6
We were blessed today with a fabulous sunny day, perfect for a campfire! The children remembered and followed our safety rules and enjoyed the opportunity of toasting a marshmallow, although there was a mixed response when it came to tasting them! The soft squishy centre came as a big surprise to some children!
In memory of the author, Eric Carle, who sadly died yesterday, we read the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and created our own representation using stones and sticks.
Some children took part in planting a tree that came from the Queen’s Estate, while others built dens, played hide and seek and hosted their own woodland tea party. Another fun and enjoyable session was had by all!
