A partner academy in the John Taylor MAT

Reception Forest School 10 June 2019

Monday 10th June 2019

We utilised the wet weather today to create mud sculptures as part of our pet themed week.  After much anticipation of handling squelchy mud, the children overcame their reservations and produced some amazing dogs, cats and rabbits.

Googly eyes added to stones became stone pets…

Then children began thinking where their stone pet would live and created a home for it.

This week children learned how to use a potato peeler and practised using one by taking the peel off a carrot.  Learning a new technique was just as good as eating it afterwards!
