Y2 Forest School Tuesday 8th March 2016

Tuesday 8th March

Our final session at Forest School was probably the muddiest yet! The children threw themselves (literally) into each activity with great enthusiasm and energy…..

Parents and Grandparents, were given the opportunity to come and experience a Forest School session for themselves. The children were eager to share some of the Forest School activities they have taken part in over the past few weeks.

As ever the children showed the true meaning of our Forest School ethos. Teamwork by the children is always apparent, for a” helping hand” is never far away, it is so rewarding to see the children being pro-active in helping, others without any adult intervention!

The children then chose to play ‘Follow my Leader’ with their chosen victim… (willing volunteer). They took great delight in leading up and down the muddiest of slopes and in between tree branches!

As the session came to a close, we retreated to the outdoor classroom, where hot chocolate and biscuits awaited us all. We would like to thank all of the parents and grandparents that were able to join us on our final visit. A huge thank you to you all for the support (and washing) that has followed our time in Forest School.
