The Year Ones had another fantastic session at Forest School. Our theme this week was ‘Medieval Banquet’. The children learnt that in medieval times goblets were used to drink out of and they had great fun creating them out of clay! The children also searched the Forest School area for items to decorate their banquet plate with, although some children were uncertain whether leaves would be the yummiest thing to eat! However, the highlight of the afternoon was cooking popcorn kernels over the fire! We remembered our respect position and fire safety rules to ensure we were safe whilst watching the popcorn pop. We thoroughly enjoyed eating our popcorn with a hot chocolate as our medieval feast…what a treat!
