Year 5 Forest School 8th May 2019

Week 5

What a wet and muddy week the Year 5 children had at Forest School. The children have enjoyed the Expelliarmus topic so much that we have decided to continue it in our sessions at Forest School.

The children enjoyed a plethora of activities this week that helped them to develop their teamwork skills. The muddy terrain was perfect to help create our mud bricks, which we will be using in a subsequent session. We had a more successful outcome of using the Bill hook this session and successfully split a number of logs.

The children also used the hand drills again this week to create Aragon and his family to add to our gigantic spider’s web.

Not only that, but the children were also given the challenge of making Harry Potter’s glasses as you can see it was successful and they even created mud scars! Another enjoyable week for all the children in Year 5!

The session ended with a sing song – A Boom Chicka Boom- around the fire and a hot chocolate.
