Nursery Forest School Week 1
The children had a great start to their Forest School experience this week. The fun began with a magic bean game in which the children had to find which of their friends had the same colour bean as their own. They then sat sensibly in our fire circle and listened carefully to our Forest School rules. The children were eager to explore and had a great time collecting natural materials to use in their craft activities. They then continued to take part in a variety of activities linked to the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ which is part of our EYFS theme on fairy tales. They had fun creating giant faces using clay mud and natural materials on tree trunks as well as bark rubbings to decorate leaves which they then onto beanstalks. The children then had a go at planting their own magic beans- fingers crossed for some magic beanstalks! Some fantastic nests were created and filled not with golden but fabulous mud eggs! During our reflection time the children enjoyed singing songs as well as a biscuit and hot chocolate. What a brilliant start to Nursery’s Forest School adventure!
